Gene editing and its role in current Crop improvement
    Author(s): Werkissa Yali*

Plant breeding has entered a new era with the advent of current DNA-technology tools such as genome editing. Genome editing has a lot of promise for solving some of the issues that breeders are now dealing with. The need for food and resources will continue to rise around the world, while natural resources used in food and biomass systems become scarce, and ecologically valuable natural landscapes that contribute to biodiversity are disappearing at an alarming rate. Genome editing is simple to use, inexpensive, and quick. Genome-editing tools are cutting-edge biotechnological methods that allow for accurate and efficient genome change in living organisms. It is a group of modern molecular biology techniques that allow for accurate, efficient, and targeted changes to genomic regions. For introducing desirable features in crops, genome editing is more accurate than traditional crop bree.. View More»
