Horticultural crop production in Ethiopia has witnessed significant advancements in recent years, driven by technological innovations and sustainable practices. This review paper comprehensively evaluates the current state o f horticultural crop production technologies in Ethiopia, focusing on key crops such as fruits, vegetables, and ornamentals. The review highlights the adoption and impact of modern agricultural practices, including precision farming, hydroponics, protected cultivation, and integrated pest management, in enhancing productivity, quality, and sustainability. Key aspects such as soil management, irrigation techniques, pest and disease control strategies, post post-harvest handling, and market access are examined in the context of Ethiopia's horticultural sector. Furthermore, the paper discusses the role of research institutions, government policies, and international collaborations in promoting technological advancements and knowledge dissemination across the horticu ltural value chain. Challenges such as climate variability, resource constraints, market dynamics, and socio socio-economic factors are also addressed, emphasizing the need for continuous innovation, capacity building, and policy support to ensure the resilience and competitiveness of Ethiopia's horticultural industry.
