Impact of Exchange Rate Volatility on the Manufacturing Sector Growth Performance in Nigeria

This study investigated the impact of exchange rate volatility on the manufacturing sector's growth performance in Nigeria from 1978 to 2022. Employing the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) technique, the study utilized the Augmented Dickey Fuller (ADF) test to assess the stationarity of the variables. The regression analysis revealed a partial effect of the exchange rate on the manufacturing sector's growth. However, the study concluded that exchange rate volatility insignificantly influenced Nigeria's manufacturing sector throughout the examined period.
