Investigating diagnostic methods: perspectives from social science

This review looks at how childhood neurological disabilities are diagnosed using social science analysis. The historical and conceptual trends in the literature are captured in three sections of the paper. The first section focuses on research that shows how important it is to communicate effectively with parents when giving a diagnosis.
