Globalization and corporate social responsibility: A critical analysis

Abstract

Nicolas Catalo*

Globalization has significantly impacted the business world, leading to the emergence of corporate social responsibility (CSR). This paper critically analyses the relationship between globalization and CSR, examining the extent to which globalization has influenced the implementation of CSR by corporations. The analysis reveals that globalization has presented significant challenges to the implementation of CSR, including the creation of economic inequalities, cultural clashes, and lack of accountability. The study recommends that corporations prioritize CSR as a means of ensuring sustainable business practices that promote social and environmental wellbeing.
